According to the recent study which is undergoing by French Archaeologist team, these staele have been stood between the 12th and 14th century.
The staele of Tiya is still mysterious and only limited information are available. Recent excavation at Tiya revealed that the stones marks show the mass grave of males and females who died between 18 and 30 years old. The presence of several engraved swords on the staele suggested that, the people being buried were soldiers.
The stele field comprises 45 stones of up to 2m height. And the largest stele in the field reaches 5m high. And almost all stones are engraved with swords, circles and a pair of leaves.
